About the Artist
Contemporary Artist & Poet | Ethereal Realism
Ekaterina Nova is a contemporary artist recognized for her signature approach to Ethereal Realism, a visual language where atmospheric light, emotional stillness, and poetic depth come together in quiet, meditative compositions. Her paintings are known for their refined luminosity and subtle transitions — a distinct aesthetic that reflects her personal interpretation of the Ethereal Realism movement.
She received six years of formal art education, building a strong classical foundation in drawing, composition, and color theory. Later, she expanded her practice through intensive programs in miniature design and contemporary mixed media — training that shaped her precision, sensitivity, and unique visual aesthetic.
For over twenty years, Ekaterina worked in artistic miniature design, a discipline rooted in micro-detail precision and delicate layered techniques. This rare background — closer to fine craftsmanship than to traditional studio practice — shapes the subtle transitions and quiet luminosity that define her painting style.
Ekaterina is also a poet, and all poems presented in her artworks, exhibitions, and publications are written by her. In her limited-edition art book “From Noise to Silence: A Journey Home,” her original poetry and paintings merge into a single contemplative narrative.
Her artistic practice includes international online exhibitions and her solo show “The Way Home” at ME Dubai, presented as a diplomatic cultural event bridging several cultures through art.
Based in Norway, she continues to explore the quiet dialogue between light, memory, and inner stillness.
